Proper lifestyle begins with nutrition; indeed, it is through nutrition that we gain the majority of antioxidants. Antioxidants are very important materials for health, as they are able to neutralize the action of free radicals, the molecules responsible for serious damage to the body’s cells which play a large role in premature aging and the development of tumors and numerous pathologies. Some antioxidants are “endogenous,” i.e. they are produced by our body and are an integral part of it. Others, however, for example vitamins C and E, are “exogenous,” i.e. they are introduced from outside through proper nutrition. Nutrition is therefore an indispensable element for health and prevention.
